  • FAILING TO PLAN IS THE SAME AS PLANNING TO FAIL .

GOAL SETTING :

 what is a goal?
 > something you would like to achieve.

 what is the purpose of setting goals ?
> goals give you direction and keep you focused on where you want to end up .

  • GOALS are important in varsity life because they help motivate you to do work , attend classes and study for exams .

  • even though you already may have set SOME GOALS BEFORE in your life , chances are you thought little about whether those goals were realistic.

-DEFINATION OF A GOAL

  a goal is
  • a dream
  • attainable

THE BE BOTH USEFUL AND MOTIVATING , THE GOALS YOU SET MUST HAVE SOME IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTICS :
  1.  goals should be SELF - CHOSEN
  2.  goals should be MODERATELY CHALLENGING
  3.  goals should be REALISTIC
  4.  goals should be MEASURABLE
  5.  goals should be SPECIFIC
  6.  goals should be FINITE
  7.  goals should be POSITIVE

THINK OF A GOAL AS YOUR FINAL DESTINATION , IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR FINAL DESTINATION IS , THERE IS NO WAY TO PLAN ON HOW TO GET THERE .

NO PLANNING = FAILING

DOES A PERSON HAVE A ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL ?

TOPIC 4 : MEMORY IMPROVING & READING SYSTEM

WHAT IS THE DEFINATION OF MEMORY ;

> Memory retention is an important feature for students. Some students have difficulty remembering information in their books. To overcome this problem, we need to devise a solution to deal with the difficulty.  Students can memorize easily using the pyramid method. Our lectures only teach us about five percent of the material. Our memories help make us who we are. It allows us to function in our daily lives, create relationships that are important to our well-being, and remember important events from our past. But memory is not perfect. Understanding their nature and how they work can offer insight into what you can do to make yourself stronger.

    WHAT IS THE DEFINATION OF BRAIN ;

> The brain is an organ composed of nervous tissue that commands responses, movements, senses, emotions, language, communication, thought, and memory that are evoked by tasks. The three main parts of the human brain are the cerebrum, cerebellum, and brainstem. The brain is a complex organ that controls many functions in the body, including thought, memory, emotions, movement, and senses.

COMPUTER COMPONENT &

 WHAT COMPONENT ANALOGOUS TO HUMAN ;

  •  Sticking to the analogy of the human body, the CPU is basically the brain of the computer. It processes commands received from hardware (keyboard, mouse) and software (computer programs) and sends commands to other components in the computer, allowing them to complete the requested task.

THE STORAGE ( RETAIN INFORMATION )

DESCRIPTION:

> SENSORY MEMORY ; creates a brief impression of information , often in seconds.
> SHORT - TERM MEMORY ( STM ) ; holds small amounts of information for a limited time, sometimes less than a minute.
> LONG - TERM MEMORY ( LTM  ; has unlimited capacity and can hold information for a lifetime.

MEMORY STRATEGIES :

Memory strategies are techniques that help you remember information.
They can be internal, such as creating a mental image, or external, such as using a calendar.

HOW FORGOTTEN CAN OCCUR ?

 - Forgetfulness can arise from stress, depression, lack of sleep or thyroid problems. Other causes include side effects from certain medications, an unhealthy diet or lack of fluid in your body (dehydration). Taking care of these underlying causes can help solve your memory problems.

MEMORY STRATEGIES ( HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR MEMORY )

THERE ARE SOME TIPS TO OVERCOME ;
  1. taking about what you've learned
  2. follow a daily routine
  3. understand the material before you start memorizing it
  4. create a good learning atmosphere
  5. engage multiple senses when learning , if you're reading book, take notes ( visual and tactile ) , read out loud ( auditory ) , or even watch videos related to the topic ( visual and auditory ) in reinforce learning .

STRATEGIES FOR IMPROVING CONCENTRATION

>strategies for improving cencentration involve techniques and habits that help you stay focused and tasks , reduce distractions , and enhance mental clarity .

CAUSES OF POOR CONCENTRATION ;

1. lack of sleep
2. stress and anxiety
3. poor diet
4. mental health conditions
5. diatractuons
6. overwork of burnout
7. lack of interest
8. multitasking
9. madical conditions
10. substance use

STRATEGIES TO IMPROVE CONCENTRATION

> STRATEGIES TO IMPROVE CONCENTRATION" REFERS TO METHODS OR TECHIQUES DESIGNED TO ENHANCE FOCUS AND ATTENTION , MAKING IT EASIER TO STAY ON TASK AND AVOID DISTRACTIONS . IMPROVING CONCENTRATION CAN BE CRUCIAL FOR PRODUCTIVITY , LEARNING , AND OVERALL MENTAL PERFORMANCE .

 GPA WORKSHEET

 CALCULATING GRADE POINT AVERAGE

- CALCULATION FORMULA

 GRADE POINT AVERAGE (GPA )

- The final examination result and assessments at the

Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
 which represent a student's academic achievement .

Grade point average (GPA) is a standardized metric that measures a student's academic performance.
